We get a ton of emails from curious customers/colleagues - and this has to be the most common question. What color embroidery do you recommend? So here goes.
At Medelita we cater to a rather vocal group of customers. They are not shy in telling us what colors we should have, and truthfully, what colors we are "crazy" for not carrying.
Everyone at our little office knows I was quite reluctant to introduce a mens line. The whole concept behind Medelita, was to provide quality, performance enhanced lab coats and scrubs for women - traditional in appearance but upgraded in every way possible - including fit, style and performance.
Name and title embroidery is pretty standard. Almost every Medelita conference garment order receives personalization above the lab coat chest pocket. We call it "the closest thing to wearing your diploma." So true. And for that reason - we insist that the quality is consistent with that stamp of prestige, commitment, and achievement. Not all of our customers realize that we offer custom logo embroidery. Something we are extremely proud of - we are able to take virtually any PDF or JPEG file and create a digitized version that is lab-coat ready. We've learned a great deal about lab coat embroidery quality over the last couple years, and insist on only the finest quality digitization, machines, and application procedures. Our embroiderer is a craftsman - an artist - who insists on giving extreme attention to each and every order. Send us your PDF or JPEG of your hospital, school, clinic, or private office logo, and we'll be happy to show you what we can do on any individual or group order for Medelita lab coats or medical scrubs.
So one of our Medelita "out of the box" ideas - when we initially designed the clinician scrub pants - was to add elastic.
Cuffed sleeves and optional neck closure, as per OSHA regulations, are now a reality here at Medelita. One of two new dental lab coats, the Elsie G. is a stunning new addition to our women's lab coat line. A white coat that exudes professionalism, prestige, and modern chic - all combined into one. Standout features include the standup collar (looks classy in both an open and closed position) and snaps. Our first lab coat with snaps! Makes for easy and secure closure, during dental procedures. But our proudest feature of this women's
white coat, is the hidden vent in the back center seam. Since dentists and dental surgeons require comfort in an extended reach position, this was an essential element to the long-term comfort of this garment. And the result . . . our best looking lab coat to date. At least we think so.
So this is an interesting topic. One that I thought I would expand on, hoping to get an active discussion going about the pros/cons of both.
A lot of people ask "how did you come up with the idea?" I'll share the cliffs notes version as below. I'm not an extreme fashionista. Just someone who prefers to look decent, and at work - professional.
