Amanda Marsh MD is a soon-to-be graduate from Creighton University School of Medicine who will soon be starting her General Surgery Residency Program at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. Originally from Phoenix, Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiology from the University of Arizona. When she isn't working, you can find Amanda seeking out new adventures while traveling or trying new restaurants, and she also loves all things fitness - including yoga, barre, and pilates.

In her own words,

"My favorite thing about surgery is deeply connecting with patients and making an immediate and significant impact on their health. We meet our patients, clinically assess their problems, provide a physical solution through surgery, and maintain follow up care as they get back to feeling themselves again. It is an honor to gain a patient’s trust to operate on them, and it is privilege I don’t take lightly.

One of the biggest challenges I have faced is gaining confidence as a female pursuing a career in surgery. While we continue to shatter glass ceilings in medicine, there is always more room for growth. I am an advocate for women in surgery and hope to be an inspiration to all aspiring physicians."
